Next step with this custom order is sculpting the removable piece. Im using the mask underneath as a guide to make sure it fully covers the main mask. Clay doesnt want to stick to latex very well, so may have to try something different.

We are going to work through this process together. This is the casting from yesterday's mold. Now the interesting part. Im going to sculpt ontop of this. Sounds strange, but youll see where im going. Stay tuned.
Applying the burlap coat to a fresh sculpt. This adds strength and structure. This wav, if you drop it and it cracks, it keeps it all together and makes it lighter.

Whats on the bench Wednesday!?
Finished this custom order. Its a movable jaw half mask. A very unique type of mask. I have to mold and cast this, then sculpt on top of it!? Stay tuned, this is going to be cool!

After doing this facial appliance for a customer, I tried to figure out how else I could use this. It brought me to the idea if a removable mask. By embedding magnets in it and anither mask it creates 2 looks with one mask. Im currently working in a new mask that will have this same idea. Stay tuned to see the progress.
