Our first is for Tylan Mitchell!

Tylan T. Mitchell is a performer with a background in both acting and stage management. After spending several years supporting productions behind the scenes as a stage manager, Tylan is excited to return to the stage and bring that expanded perspective to performance.

When asked why he believes the Workers' Opera is important, Tylan quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:

“The labor movement was the principal force that transformed misery and despair into hope and progress.”

Congratulations to The St. Louis Black Repertory Company on the opening of their 50th season. We can’t wait to see some of our favorites in The Color Purple tonight!

This fall, we are reuniting with dayspringarts for our FREE Saturday Morning Mural Arts class. We can’t wait to see what these students create this year!

We celebrated Labor Day with a full house, and what a joyful evening it was — filled with reflection, history, music, and solidarity.

We were also thrilled to share the title of Workers’ Opera 2026: “Stand Up and Let ’Em Know.”
