In the past ten years, Conor Murphy the person and Smidley the band have come to exist beyond the mere creative overflow left unexplored in his work with Foxing. Through his own growth in and out of Smidley, though, art and life itself have entered into an ongoing cycle of redefinition. This redefinition isn’t a destination, but a new pathway paved by Murphy’s gratitude for and security in the artist, husband, and man that he’s become. Smidley’s third album, Murphy Horse, soundtracks this journey.

School of Rock Kirkwood’s performance-based music education combines one-on-one instruction with group rehearsals, helping students develop both musical proficiency and essential life skills. School of Rock’s community-based approach builds confidence, teamwork, and resilience.

The music programs at School of Rock Kirkwood are designed to motivate and inspire students to work together and grow as musicians. Their programs combine individualized, one-on-one music lessons in Kirkwood with group band rehearsals that take students to the stage.

Cherish is a brand-new folk-pop duo featuring Jeanitta Perkins and Devon Cahill. Blending acoustic guitar, ukulele, and rich vocal harmonies, they draw from their roots in musical theatre, country, and R&B, with a special love for the timeless sound and charm of 1960s girl groups. The result is a nostalgic yet fresh sound with plenty of heart, and a few surprises along the way!

Jeffy and the Sunken Heads rock hard, rock fast, and get out. Time and subtly are extravagances unnecessary to the garage punk quartet. It attacks directly with hard charging catchy riffs and the point, often comically trivial, is made.

Such has been the M.O. for Jeffy and the Sunken Heads since it started as a solo recording project for leader Jeff Hess in 2022. Fresh off beating a health scare, the St. Louis rock veteran began laying down snappy lo-fi punk tunes as his re-entry into songwriting. The hooks were cuttingly simple and singable, and they served as a backdrop to Hess’ absurd and acerbic diatribes about satellites, overly impatient record shoppers, and bad font choices.

With experience in the music industry of 10+ years, and playing in over 20 bands, multi instrumentalist and producer, Volume Speaks happily joins the Free 4 All stage this year! As the Current Entertainment Coordinator for TedX St. Louis, Speaks, Volume, or Speaksy brings her sounds and vibes to their stage and helps build community via sound.

The sounds of her production can be heard in a few projects from the city, but she is most known as a 3x beat battle Champion from Fresh Produce, the only woman to ever win the champion of champions battle. Volume Speaks strives to leave a legacy just as musically powerful as her name.

Tiffany Ann is a classically trained powerhouse vocalist and an established genre-bending singer-songwriter from St. Louis Missouri. She has been a singer/musician her entire life, and her most recent accomplishment was opening up the Whitaker Music Festival at Botanical Gardens this summer.

Goldberry is a St. Louis-based indie-folk band composed of Sarah Freihaut, Amy Huff, and Erin Johnson. They released their debut EP, Liminal Space, in 2020 after writing and playing music together for almost ten years. They have since released the Peculiar Folk EP in 2024 and two singles. Goldberry is currently recording their first full length album with producer Chris Turnbaugh.

Slings & Arrows is a dreamy, atmospheric, post rock, instrumental group. Slings & Arrows formed in 2024 out of improvised practice sessions and quickly coelesed as a group. Instead of vocals, the band encourages the audience to listen to the melodic interplay between instruments.
