On June 16, St. Louis Magazine brought The 314 Podcast to life with its first-ever live recording at The Sheldon. The night marked a memorable milestone for The 314 Podcast and a celebration of the stories, people, and sense of community that make St. Louis unique.
The evening began with a welcome from St. Louis Magazine President and CEO Matt Coen. In a surprise appearance, Mayor Cara Spencer joined SLM writer Ryan Krull on stage for a live trivia showdown, with audience members playing along from their phones.
The main event featured a one-on-one conversation between podcast host and SLM executive editor Sarah Fenske and special guest Bill McClellan, the longtime St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist known for his beloved storytelling and frequent appearances on Donnybrook.
The conversation was equal parts hilarious and moving, offering the audience a rare glimpse into the experiences that have shaped one of St. Louis’ most recognizable voices.
