I may not be the smartest of people, but I think there might be a problem with the way they gridded these people.

Getting feedback from a rider that can be used in the analysis is always super fun. To make things easier, I added a new feature that lets me email a link to the rider, so they can fill it out on their phone. They can specify what is happening on the entry, midpoint, or exit of the corner, and that will factor into the analysis.

The more information we can provide for context around the data, the better the recommendations will be.

One of the more valuable tools for analyzing compression, rebound, and spring rate is the histogram. This new feature shows the optimal line and data from your bike so you can see where you need to add or remove spring or valving.

This is super useful once you get to the point of fine tuning a setup. It will help you understand if you have the right springs or if your valving is right, but if you don't have the correct geometry, you're just polishing a turd.

Every time I go to the track to support my riders, I learn something new and make improvements to MotoSetupPro. This past weekend at Laguna Seca, I learned that I needed a more visual way to show what was happening with laps and how a rider compared to others, so I built this Saturday night at the hotel.

Submit the segment report from MotoAmerica, and it defaults to the rider whose data has been submitted, but you can choose any other rider to compare to.

Working at Laguna Seca for this weekend's MotoAmerica event, I found the need to compare lap times across riders to see where we were losing time. So I added that as a function to the system. Import the laps with sector times and you can compare across riders to see where you're losing time.

This year, when we got to Daytona, it was literally the first time we had been to that track with that bike; we had no data, no setup information, nothing. It was literally the first event we had ever run with the GSX-R 750.

As a result, we had no idea where to start with the setup. Given the limited amount of running time at a MotoAmerica weekend, we didn't have time to waste; we had to be in the ballpark in the first session. This resulted in the Setup Recommendation tool. It looks at previous events (if they exist), the information about the track, and gives you an idea of where to start with gearing, suspension, and geometry, and it also has the same "question the AI" functionality that allows you to poke holes, discuss, and refine the solution.

Next time you head to a track, give it a shot, see what it gives you.

Road America is in the books and the Royalty Racing team and Carson King worked up to a 13th after fighting mechanical gremlins all weekend.

When going to a new track on a new bike, it can be overwhelming to know where to start tuning the bike. With MotoSetup Pro, you can interrogate the AI and figure out where to start from, even if it is completely new. The engine will verify that you are operating within a known good range before working with you to adjust it.
