🎶✨ The Groove Was Real Because the Musicians Were Exceptional! ✨🎶
The Whew Yeahs may have brought the afros, attitude, and storytelling, but these incredible musicians brought the SOUL.
A heartfelt thank you to our phenomenal band for helping us transport the audience back to the funky sounds of the 70s and bringing every note, memory, and love story to life.
🎹 Stephen M. Mariner – Music Director & Keyboard
🥁 Darrin Thornton – Drums
🎸 Khalil Frazier – Bass
🎸 Gary Abdullah – Bass Consultant
Your talent, professionalism, creativity, and musicianship elevated every moment of our Juneteenth performance. Thank you for helping us create an experience that was soulful, joyful, and unforgettable.
The Whew Yeahs wouldn’t have been nearly as funky without you! Thank you for keeping the rhythm tight, the groove smooth, and the audience singing along from beginning to end.
Please help us show some love to these amazing artists! 🎶🔥

Stay free. Stay funky. Meet us at the next get-down! ✌🏾🎶
The Whew Yeahs took Juneteenth back to the 70s with afros, soul, sass, and stories that had the crowd laughing, singing, and reminiscing.
For one day only, these ladies clocked out from talking about workplace drama and clocked in to discuss something equally complicated—LOVE. ❤️
Through music, storytelling, and a whole lot of grown-woman truth, The Whew Yeahs celebrated Juneteenth by honoring one of the greatest expressions of freedom: the freedom to laugh, love, heal, and simply enjoy being together.
Thank you to everyone who sang along, clapped along, and caught the groove with us.
Now swipe through and relive the funk! 🪩✨📸 (pics 2&3): Compass&Kilos Creative
