🫒Meet Olive🫒

When we saw Olive at the shelter, we knew we couldn’t leave her behind.

Olive is a sweet Shar-Pei mix, estimated to be around 3 years old (we’ll confirm her age with our veterinarian on Thursday). She weighs 23 pounds, which is quite small for a Shar-Pei, so we believe she’s likely mixed with a smaller breed.

Unfortunately, Olive has clearly been living with painful eye conditions for quite some time. One of her eyes has been damaged beyond repair and it has been recommended that it be surgically removed to relieve her pain and prevent further complications. Her other eye requires entropion surgery.

What is entropion?
Entropion is a condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the surface of the eye. This constant irritation is extremely painful and can lead to corneal ulcers, infections, vision loss, and permanent damage if left untreated. Surgery is the only way to correct it.

Olive is scheduled for surgery this Thursday, where she will undergo:
🐾 Eye removal surgery
🐾 Entropion eye surgery
🐾 Spay surgery

The estimated cost for these procedures is approximately $2,860.

On top of that, we also noticed Olive appears to have an umbilical hernia. If it needs surgical repair, that cost is not included in the current estimate.

Despite everything she’s been through, Olive is incredibly sweet and deserves the chance to live a comfortable, pain-free life.

🐾 Meet Claire 🐾

Claire is a beautiful 2 year old Cattle Dog mix. She’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and already knows her basic commands. She’s also potty trained and kennel trained, making her an easy companion to welcome into your home.

Claire gets along well with other dogs, loves kids, and is ready to become a loyal member of a family who will cherish her forever.

Her story hasn’t been easy. Claire once survived life on the streets before ending up at a local shelter, where she was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time, and now she’s getting the second chance she always deserved.

She’s a truly special girl who deserves a family that will give her the stability, love, and happily ever after she’s been waiting for.

✨ Charlie Update ✨

Today was a big day for Charlie! 💙

Charlie had his orthopedic surgery to repair his radius and ulna fracture, and while he was under anesthesia, he was also neutered. We are so happy to share that everything went well!

A huge thank you to Dr. Le, who did an incredible job putting Charlie back together. We are so grateful for his expertise and the care he gave our sweet boy.

It’s hard to believe that not long ago, Charlie was facing euthanasia simply because of a broken leg. A young, healthy puppy deserved so much more than that. Thanks to an amazing foster opening their home, our supporters donating, sharing his story, and everyone who kept him in their thoughts and prayers, Charlie was given the chance he deserved, a chance to heal, to grow up, and to find the loving family he’s always deserved.

Over the next several weeks, Charlie will be taking it easy while he recovers. Once he’s healed, he’ll be ready to start the next chapter of his life and find his forever home. We already know some lucky family is going to fall in love with this incredibly sweet boy.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, shared, prayed, and cheered Charlie on. Your kindness truly changed the course of his life.

We always try to be realistic about what we can take on. But when we got a call that Charlie would be euthanized if a rescue didn’t step in because of his broken leg, we knew we had to help.

Charlie is a 6-month-old Shepherd mix who is otherwise a healthy, happy puppy. The only thing standing between him and a future was a broken leg that needed surgery.

We couldn’t let his story end that way.

Charlie is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. Even with his injury, all he wants is love. He leans in for pets, wags his tail nonstop, and greets everyone with kindness. He has no idea how close he came to losing his life, he just knows someone finally gave him a chance.

Charlie is scheduled for surgery Monday. His current estimate includes $704 in hospital costs and $1,500–$1,800 for his orthopedic surgery, bringing his total expected medical expenses to approximately $2,500.

We’re asking from the bottom of our hearts if you could help us give this sweet boy the future he deserves. No donation is too small, and if you’re unable to donate, sharing his story means just as much. Every share gives Charlie a better chance at the happy, pain-free life every puppy deserves.

Jeanette 🐾💖

If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, meet Jeanette.

Jeanette is a beautiful 6 month old Staffy mix with the most stunning tiger-striped brindle coat. She’s as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside.

Jeanette’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was rescued from the shelter, but shortly after entering rescue, she became critically ill with parvovirus. There were moments when we weren’t sure she was going to make it. But this sweet girl never gave up. She fought with everything she had, and today she’s healthy, thriving, and ready to start the life she’s always deserved.

To know Jeanette is to fall in love with her. She has the sweetest, most gentle soul. One of our favorite things she does is slowly crawl her way over to you, then softly lean her head and body against you just to soak up all the love she can get. She doesn’t ask for much just someone to love her as much as she’ll love them.

Jeanette is amazing with other dogs and absolutely LOVES kids. She has the perfect personality to become a cherished family companion. She hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, so we aren’t sure how she would do in a home with them.

Meet Jacob! 🐾💙

Jacob is an adorable little Chihuahua mix puppy, about 14 weeks old, looking for a family to call his own! His mom was rescued from a homelessness encampment, and just a few days later she gave birth to Jacob and his siblings in the safety of a loving foster home.

Jacob is a happy, social, and affectionate puppy who loves everyone he meets. He’s playful, curious, and always ready for an adventure or a cuddle. He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful addition to just about any family.

Like any young puppy, Jacob is still learning the basics and will need a family committed to helping him with potty training, kennel training, and all the fun that comes with raising a puppy.
