The Martin County School Districts Pre-K Programs are made up of Voluntary Prekindergarten and Head Start.

We are located at 11 Elementary Schools as well at 4 independent sites in Martin County. We aim to prepare our students to succeed in K and beyond! The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program -- or VPK -- prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The National Head Start Association is a nonprofit organization committed to the belief that every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to succeed in life. We provide a foundation for your child's education as well as social services for the entire family.

🧺🌧️ Rainy weather couldn’t stop the fun in Mrs. Lucky and Mrs. Rommel’s HSE VPK classroom!

Our students enjoyed a special indoor picnic snack as part of their Friday incentive and made the best of a rainy day together. To top it off, we were treated to an exciting BMX show sponsored by our PTA! Students learned about the importance of always wearing a helmet while riding bikes and had meaningful conversations about kindness, respect, and bullying prevention.

What a fantastic day filled with fun, learning, and important life lessons! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸ’™πŸ›‘οΈ

πŸ‚ PCE Wildcats with Mrs. Peters & Ms. Sinotte had a wonderful September filled with learning, fun, and celebration! 🐾

From exciting Show and Tell opportunities to sorting activities and hands-on learning, our Wildcats have been busy building important early learning skills. Students strengthened their fine motor skills through engaging Play-Doh activities, practiced problem-solving and letter recognition, and enjoyed gross motor play as they explored and learned together.

Every day brought new opportunities to grow, create, and make friends. We are so proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm our Wildcats have shown as they continue their Pre-K journey!

Here's to an amazing September and an even more exciting October ahead! πŸ’™πŸ’›

🍎✏️ Learning is in full swing in Mrs. Kammaraad and Mrs. Fischer’s FAWE VPK classroom!

Our young learners have been exploring shapes, colors, patterns, and body parts through hands-on activities that make learning fun and meaningful. Students practiced sorting and matching shapes, created colorful artwork, strengthened fine motor skills with bead creations, and even worked together outdoors to build large shapes using manipulatives.

These engaging experiences help develop early math, language, and problem-solving skills while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and confidence. We love seeing our students learn through play each day! πŸŒŸπŸ’™

CGE VPK had a fantastic week of learning and celebration! πŸŽ‰πŸ“š

This week, students were busy building early literacy skills by sounding out words and writing in their journals. We love seeing our young learners use their phonics knowledge to stretch out words and put their ideas on paper!
We also celebrated a special birthday! Kai's mother visited the classroom as our Mystery Reader and shared the story Meet Birthday. What a wonderful way to celebrate Kai's birthday while fostering a love of reading and family engagement. Thank you for spending part of your day with our class!

From journal writing to special guest readers and birthday celebrations, it was a week full of learning, laughter, and memorable moments at CGE VPK! πŸ’›πŸ
