What is shared here follows the turning of the moon, the shifting of the heavens, and the rhythms that shape daily life. I walk my own path, rooted in reconstructionist study, lived experience, and respect for what is known and what is not. I name what can be traced, what has been carried forward, and where the record grows thin. This page is kept like a hearth. Nothing here is a directive. Nothing is required. These are observations, fragments of memory, and moments set down as they are noticed. This is not about perfection. It is about presence. Rooted. Sacred. Tended.

In Glen Lyon, Perthshire, stands a small stone shelter known as Tigh nam Bodach—the “House of the Old Man.” Inside are three naturally shaped stones linked to a supernatural family: the Cailleach, the Bodach, and the Nighean—the Old Woman, the Old Man, and their Daughter. The custom connected with them is remarkably simple. At Beltane, traditionally marking the start of summer, the stones are taken outside and placed beside the burn. At Samhain, as the darker half of the year begins, they are brought back into the shelter. The little stone house is then closed once more.
The tradition has attracted attention because some have described it as one of Britain’s oldest surviving pagan practices. That claim cannot be proven. There is no continuous written record reaching back into the ancient Celtic past, and historians cannot confirm an unbroken tradition spanning thousands of years. The custom is nevertheless clearly old. Early written accounts presented it as something inherited rather than recently created, while the figure of the Cailleach is deeply embedded in Scottish Gaelic folklore. She is associated with winter, storms, mountains, and the shaping of the land.
What makes Tigh nam Bodach so compelling is not whether its origins can be traced to some impossibly distant past. It is the fact that the practice has continued. The stones still have names. They still have a house. Twice a year, someone still carries them out and brings them back. There is no grand spectacle and no performance designed for visitors—only an old custom quietly maintained in the hills.

This is it folks, they are in the chute, getting ready to be put on the trucks. Please please donate, share, whatever you can do. We dont have much longer for these 31 babies. Quite frankly, they are going on a very long trip, with no food or water, to be slaughtered for food. This no joke, this is not made up, If we do not save them, they will die.
