Adding some custom decorative spine filework to this blade. I started the layout with a file, but I'll admit I'm cheating a bit—the bulk of the work was done with a 200-grit diamond wheel. It may not be the traditional way, but it makes quick work of these crescent cuts and gives the spine a unique look.

A serrated edge is only as good as the scallops behind it. This blade had been sharpened so many times that the original serrations were nearly gone, leaving it cutting more like a dull straight edge than a true serrated knife. In this restoration, I recut the scallops using diamond wheels and brought the edge back to the way it was designed to perform.
