“We take a lot of pride in our hoops,” Knueppel explained on “The Young Man & the Three” podcast.

“I think that probably has a little to do with the weather — we don’t have a ton of baseball guys. With baseball season in the spring, you get like 700 games canceled.”

“But I think we just have a lot of good basketball minds. A lot of our high school coaches are really really good and the skills are really really important.”

“It’s almost like a Europe-esque: learning how to play, learning how to pass, how to play together, how to shoot — most of the guys from Wisconsin are really elite shooters.”
