Tomorrow I turn 40. 🎂

39 years on this earth have taught me things I didn’t expect to learn:

I can never change this world. But I can change how I show up in it.

Friendships are not for life. And that’s okay. I’ve learned to say no. To stand up for myself and for the people who believe in me. To walk away from relationships and friendships that kept me small, that didn’t let me breathe new air or grow into who I was becoming.

What I hate: small talk, gossip, selfish people. Life is too short for any of it.

What I want more of: nature. Depth. Connection to the Earth beneath my feet. I want to hug more trees, catch more sunrises and sunsets, and feel small in the best way, the way only the outdoors can make you feel.

In my 40s, I want to open my home to people who make me want to dance and sing. I want to extend my table and invite in more women who get it, women who challenge me, who push me to grow, who remind me that life is too short to live with regrets.

I spread kindness, joy, and love everywhere I go. And I’m walking into this decade doing more of exactly that.

Here’s to 40. 🥂

You need a flight, a slow itinerary, and the willingness to leave some people exactly where they are.
