No filming for me tonight, best of luck to everybody up at Skagit Speedway for the Survive The 55. Hope to make it to that race next year. Best of luck to everyone out at Grays Harbor Raceway and wherever else is racing this weekend. Going to hang out at home and watch the 4 Crown at Eldora, Outlaws at Ventura and whatever else I can find. 🙂.

Probably won't have a set schedule next year but going to be week to week other than a few special races that I I'm hoping to attend. I'm hoping to at least attend more than two races in 2027.

Moore, Destry Miller, Austin Kerrigan, Sanford and Smith Feature Winners on Championship Night!

Going into the final night, Craig Moore of Seabeck and Shelton’s Brenton Schnitzer were tied in the 2026 IMCA Modifieds points standings, making it one of the closest points battles in recent times. The 25 lap feature event saw John Higgenbottom of Yelm bring the field to the green flag. Higgenbottom took the early lead. Montesano’s Jeremy Miller ran in second with Craig Moore of Seabeck looking to the outside for the runner up position. Moore looked to chase down Higgenbottom for the lead. Miller saw a battle with Austin Rognlin of Olympia, with fellow Olympia driver Jeff Hunt joining on on the battle for third. Higgenbottom had more right on his back bumper as lap traffic was a factor. Moore looked low in turns three and four, but Higgenbottom held the position. Moore took the lead on lap 8, as Higgenbottom fought back. Hunt looked to join in on the battle as well, getting within striking distance of Moore and Higgenbottom. A three car battle between Higgenbottom, Hunt and Rognlin was the race to watch early on in the feature as all three drivers split through lap traffic. Second to seventh battled for numerous laps of the feature before a late caution for Shelton’s Brenton Schnitzer restacked the field. Moore led Higgenbottom, Hunt, and Rognlin to the green flag with Moore quickly jumping out front. Scott Miller of Shelton looked to battle for the fourth position with Rognlin. Moore picked up the win over Hunt, Higgenbottom, Rognlin, and Schnitzer worked his way back into the top five. Heat race winners were Hunt and Rognlin. Craig Moore (Craig Moore Racing) picked up the 2026 IMCA Modifieds Championship.

A-Hornets

Aberdeen’s Austin Kerrigan and Landon Pruett of Montesano shared the front row of the 20 lap feature event. Kerrigan took the lead with Pruett looking to the high side for the lead. Kerrigan remained in the top spot. Nick Miles of Elma battled with fellow Elma driver Trustin Sansom for third. Kenny Miles of Hoquiam looked to join in on the battle racing with Sansom. Nick Miles set his sights on Landon Pruett for the runner up spot, making a pass early on. Kerrigan expanded his lead, wasting no time getting away from Nick Miles and Landon Pruett. The caution flag flew for Joel Baxter of Whishkah Valley, facing the wrong way in turn four. Nick Miles looked to make a pass for the lead on the restart but Kerrigan remained in the top spot. The battle for third between Landon Pruett, Kenny Miles and Sansom was the race to watch. Kerrigan and Nick Miles expanded their lead on the rest of the field with Kerrigan picking up the win. Nick Miles, Landon Pruett, Kenny Miles and Sansom rounded out the top five. Heat race winners were Kerrigan and Landon Pruett. Kerrigan (Austin Kerrigan) picked up the 2026 Hornet Championship.

B-Hornets

The B-Hornets division had a 10 lap feature event. McCleary’s Randy Goodman took the early lead with Max Sanford of Belfair right on his back bumper. Goodman and Sanford raced hard, making slight contact with Goodman spinning in turn three. Sanford continued to lead as Aberdeen’s Tawni Kerrigan took over second. Daisha Stevens of Aberdeen ran in the third spot. Sanford ran the low side of the raceway with Kerrigan looking to the high side, tracking down Sanford. Kerrigan took the lead on lap 6, but the caution flag flew for Goodman, stopping on the backstretch. Sanford regained the lead, as Kerrigan looked to make another battle in the late stages of the feature event. Sanford picked up a very emotional win over Tawni Kerrigan, Stevens, Goodman and Olympia’s Ryan Downing. This was Sanford’s final race, after dealing with health issues the last few years. Daisha Stevens (DS Racing) picked up the 2026 B-Hornets Championship

360 Sprint Cars

The brother and sister team of Destry and Xan Miller of Olympia battled it out in the 15 lap feature event. Both drivers raced side by side down the front stretch with Destry Miller taking the lead, wasting no time to expand his lead. A non-stop, green to checkered event saw Destry Miller win over Xan Miller. Destry also picked up the heat race win and quick time. Destry Miller (Destry Miller Racing ) picked up the 2026 360 Sprint Car Championship.

IMCA Northern SportMods

Seabeck’s Chuck Smith was the only Sport Mod to make the trip to Grays Harbor Raceway, getting valuable seat time. Smith also picked up the IMCA Northern SportMods track championship for the 2026 season.
