Open to the public – all are welcome. No appointment needed.

Vision and dental screenings and other services will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free reading glasses and sunglasses will be available on site. Parental/guardian consent is needed for anyone under 18 years of age.

Bring the entire family for a free outdoor movie and family fun at Summer Bash at STAR Center on Friday, August 21⛱️🖼️🌲

😍Activities begin at 6:30 pm.
🍿The movie “Zootopia 2” begins at dusk.

Enjoy games, face painting, food trucks, an obstacle course, bouncy houses, and more! Bring your snacks, blankets and lawn chairs. Seating is on the lawn.

A new place to move, play and connect is opening on Tacoma’s Eastside 🚲 The First Creek trailhead project creates a more welcoming connection between Eastside Community Center, the Pipeline Trail and Swan Creek Park, with:

• New trail connections and improved access
• Fitness equipment for a variety of ages and abilities
• Nature play features for kids
• Bike racks, wayfinding signs and a trail kiosk
• Benches and picnic tables for gathering and relaxing

And you can join us to celebrate the opening of First Creek trailhead on Wednesday, August 19. The official welcome begins at 5:30 pm, followed by a guided bike ride and walk at 5:45 p.m. in partnership with Tacoma On the Go and 2nd Cycle Tacoma's Community Cycle Center.

Join us for three days of hockey fun at Verlo Playfield! Participants will learn the rules and sharpen up their skills while using official Kraken equipment such as hockey sticks and hockey balls. The Seattle Kraken plan on paying a visit during the clinic.

Doggies and root beer floats you say? 🐾 🥤🍦Get ready for a paws-itively fun time at the Thirsty Dog Run on Sept. 5 at Titlow Park. Sign up by August 24 to save $10.

🥤 Add on a souvenir cup to enjoy root beer floats at the finish line.
🐾 All dogs are welcome, but must be accompanied by their human friend and must stay on leash for the entirety of the event.
🏃🏃 Dogs are not required. Sign up for the run with your family and friends!

Tacoma! The Norpoint Knockout Pickleball Tournament is coming to the Center at Norpoint on Saturday, August 8.
