Ya know… this song slammed into me a bit, but I think what I found myself realizing and even celebrating as it unfolded was - the person we should be singing this to is ourselves. There is something magical that happens when we fully embrace who we are created to be. That we choose to be proud (not prideful) of what we’ve overcome and are still standing. And better yet, not broken, but soft and warm… kind and compassionate.
There’s this awareness that the world could come crashing down - and we’ll be just fine! BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAS… and we were! I pray we learn to celebrate our quirky, messy, beautiful selves so we can fully embrace the beautiful mess of others. Go in peace! 🌷🙏

We must allow people to show us who they are… AND BELIEVE THEM!🔥This is very insightful. I spent a lifetime listening to what people said… refusing to believe what they did. It feels so very foolish now. I found that I projected who I was onto them, loaning them my character, my dedication, my care, my (actionable) love. That, paired with a self-commitment to basking in gratefulness and contentment were the perfect storm for abandoning myself.
Sounds ironic (and it is)… but I now understand that the way to walk in love - and to be surrounded with love is to ACCEPT when you’re not loved (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) and to let go. It’s also important to acknowledge when we don’t align with people - so we can release them… and all involved, can walk in freedom and who they are created to be. Yeshua was great at loving people while knowing who He should stay connected to, regardless of their relational point of origin.

OHHHHH… if we only knew!
