Illinois Rural Water Association is a non-profit, independent association.
It is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine people associated with water/wastewater systems within the state. Illinois Rural Water Association was formed to coordinate water and wastewater system programs on a statewide basis. The Association provides training and technical assistance to water and wastewater systems. Illinois Rural Water Association along with forty-nine other State Associations, form what is known as the National Rural Water Association.

IRWA Wastewater Technician Jake Streitmatter assisted the City of Prophetstown with a push camera job today. They had a line with very little flow due to lots of tree roots blocking it up.

Source water protection is a shared responsibility. Protecting drinking water takes utilities, local governments, landowners, community organizations and [community] residents working together.
