C.I. Waggoner

to an unforgettable first quarter! 🐾💙

From laughter-filled assemblies and musical melodies to art room masterpieces and lunchroom smiles with best friends, our Wildcats made every moment magical! 🫶 We are so proud of our scholars, our dedicated staff, and this wonderful community for kicking off the school year with so much energy and heart. 💙💙💙

What was your student’s favorite memory from Quarter 1? Tell us in the comments below! 👇✨

Celebrating our incredible Wildcat scholars from PreK all the way to 5th grade! 🌟 Every quarter during the school year, we gather to recognize students who bring their best energy, dedication, and school spirit to the classroom every single day.

We are so proud of all the hard work our students, and our amazing community, put into making Waggoner a wonderful place to learn and grow! 💙🐾

Drop some love in the comments to congratulate our award winners all around! 👏👏👏

A quick reminder, Wildcats! There is no school on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. 🐾

Our music room is officially filled with the sweet (and very enthusiastic) sounds of the recorder! 3rd grade Wildcats are working hard with Mrs. Sellers on mastering rhythm, breath control, and proper alignment.

What we’re working on:
💨 Gentle Air: Learning that a soft, warm whisper of air makes a much better sound than a big blow!
🕳️ Covering the Holes: Perfecting that “finger-pillow” seal so every note sounds clear.
🎵 Team Rhythm: Keeping the right tempo together as a full classroom band.

Every professional musician started by learning in a classroom! Drop a 🎵 in the comments to cheer on our mini instrumentalists!

A quick reminder, there will be no school this upcoming Monday, August 17, for our district-wide staff development day.

We’re thrilled to announce that Waggoner has received the Arizona PBIS Coalition’s highest honor—Level 4: Tier 1, 2 & 3 Fidelity Award! This top-tier recognition celebrates our school’s strong commitment to implementing a comprehensive PBIS framework that supports students across all levels.

Even more exciting, Waggoner is one of only thirteen Kyrene schools, and one of just fifty schools in the entire state to achieve this distinction! This milestone is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of our entire staff in creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where every Wildcat can succeed.

A perfect start to the 2026-2027 school year! Our Waggoner Wildcats brought incredible energy, big smiles, and unstoppable spirit right out of the gate. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our Wildcats will accomplish this year! 🐾💙✨
