Before we close out the month, we want to pause and ask you something simple 👇

The first formally trained guide dog in the United States arrived in 1928. 🐾🚗

Her name was Buddy — a German Shepherd trained in Switzerland and brought home by Morris Frank, a blind American who became one of the founding forces behind the modern service dog movement. Frank and Buddy together helped establish the Seeing Eye — the oldest guide dog school in the US — and changed what independence looked like for blind Americans forever.

Nearly 100 years later, there are an estimated 500,000 service dogs working across the country — helping people with everything from vision and hearing impairments to mobility limitations, seizure disorders, PTSD, and more.

The human-canine partnership has always been powerful. This month, we're especially grateful for it. 🐾💛

There isn’t one version of moving forward.
