MY RECOMMENDATION FOR WALKING YOUR DOG -- get this Harness Lead (in the right size for your dog). Comfortable and no escaping. The collar and ID tag are only for ID and should be on at ALL times. A leash should never be attached to a collar. Order this for your dog's safety on walks:

Harness Lead No Pull Dog Harness and Leash Set, Anti Pull Dog Harness, One-Piece Cushioned Rope Safely Prevents Escaping and Pulling (Small/Medium, Purple/Turquoise) Use with kindness. Do not jerk, yank or correct dog in Harness Lead. If dog continues to pull HARD, then leash is not working for dog , so discontinue use. Extremely important to properly fit by aligning black stops with front leg according to directions. This will prevent tightening around neck....

WAITING OUTSIDE THE GATE .... about a week ago this sweet baby was sitting outside someone's gate, patiently waiting for a nice person to help her. She's confused and lost, and loving. Finder hung flyers and took steps to find owners who have not surfaced so far. THE ONLY WAY THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED IS IF THE DOG WAS OFF-LEASH. There are MANY reasons for the leash laws. Don't break the law. Now, there is an awful situation because the parents thought they were doing a fun thing for the dog by letting it roam off-leash. This is awful. The poor people, the poor dog! PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR DOG OFF-LEASH IN PUBLIC NO MATTER HOW WELL YOU THINK YOUR DOG IS TRAINED. This was so preventable! ~*~*~ The dog was found and is home safe, but LESSON LEARNED. Folks, you don't need to learn the lesson after crisis. Here's the lesson now: Abide by the leash laws.
