Good pruning starts long before the saw comes out. It starts with understanding the tree, understanding the homeowner’s goals, and developing a plan that brings the two together.

For this mature mesquite, the goal wasn’t simply to make the canopy smaller. This tree needed a significant canopy reduction to better prepare it for severe weather while also addressing poor structure that had developed throughout the canopy.

To accomplish that, we used a combination of Natural Pruning and Restoration Pruning systems—reducing weight and leverage where necessary while working to restore better structure within the canopy and preserve the tree’s natural character.

Lighting strike⚡️

This palm tree was hit by lightening causing it to catch fire. A crane was utilized to safely and efficiently remove the tree. We are your neighborhood tree care experts when it comes to all things tree, including hazardous tree removal.

We finished up with a large palo verde to end the day yesterday. This tree was already starting to have limbs break due to excess weight and poor structure. This was our first year taking care of this tree, we look forward to caring for this tree for years to come!

Fridays Crane op. This 75’ pine was tricky.

High voltage overhead lines, power service drops, cable and telephone lines all ran right through or right along this trees canopy. It also soared above 2 houses and was 130’ from the road.

We could have taken this thing out with some advanced rigging but in the middle of June in PHX? Let’s be safe and let’s be smart! Crane jaaaabbb.

Palo Verde pruning before ➡️ after

By selectively thinning the canopy and reducing weight on extended limbs, we improved the tree’s structure while helping reduce the risk of storm damage during monsoon season.

Proper pruning isn’t about removing more—it’s about removing the right material.

Before ➡️ After on this mesquite

We believe in following a natural pruning approach on most trees. This maintains the tree’s canopy and natural appearance while selectively pruning away excess growth.

Mesquite trees in our urban landscapes are a different story. Between irrigation, runoff, and ideal growing conditions, they tend to grow way faster (and heavier) than they would out in the desert.

That extra growth = crowded limbs, long, overextended limbs and added weight… which is why selective, more aggressive pruning was the play on this beaut of a tree.

Our goal:✅Reduce weight ✅Improve structure✅ Maintain tree’s natural shape

Done right, it’s safer, healthier, and still looks like a mesquite should. You can rely on us to get the Job done right!

Double palm tree removals this morning in Tempe 🌴

Pool decking, block walls, and pool plumbing were directly below these two palms—one mistake could’ve cost thousands in damages. We used advanced rigging techniques to safely remove both trees without incident.

Before ➡️ After 🌳

This heritage oak got the attention it deserved today. Proper pruning isn’t about cutting more — it’s about cutting right. Strategic trimming improves structure, reduces risk, and keeps the tree healthy for years to come.

Large, mature trees like this aren’t something you want to guess on. One bad cut can do long-term damage. That’s why it’s critical to consult and hire experienced arborists who understand tree biology, structure, and safety.

We take pride in doing it the right way — preserving the beauty while protecting the future of the tree.

If you’re unsure about your trees, don’t wait until it becomes a problem. Get expert eyes on it. 🌿
