Donate to Save Mail-In Voting An Attack on Arizona Elections is Underway. MAGA radicals are trying to sneak a Trojan Horse through Arizona's gates. Huge thanks to the Maricopa County Democratic Party for inviting me to speak! It was an incredible event for a crucial cause.
āMaricopa is arguably the most critical county in the country heading into November. Itās absolutely vital that we support their mission to flip the AZ House and Senate, defend the Governor's office, and defeat dangerous ballot measures, especially the insidious Prop 144. (No on Prop 144)

Prop 144 is a Trojan Horse. If it passes, voting by mail is effectively dead in AZ.

Save Vote By Mail In Arizona Prop. 144 rewrites the Arizona Constitution to align with Donald Trump's bizarre call to end vote-by-mail. It enshrines confusing ID requirements, meaning the courts and politicians would ultimately decide which citizensā votes count.
Election Day is just the finish line. All year long, election officials train staff, rigorously test voting equipment, and fine-tune procedures to keep every vote secure and smooth.

Today I spoke to the Arizona Democratic Party State Committee on the true intent of Prop 144, Arizonaās Trojan Horse.
Prop 144 rewrites the Arizona Constitution solely to align with Donald Trumpās authoritarian goals. It replaces our most fundamental right with a maze of confusing and impossible ID requirementsāensuring that, in the end, it will not be the voters, but politicians and judges who will decide which ci!tizensā votes to actually count.
History warns us of what will happen if we let their horse through our gate.
NO ON 144!

For more than three decades, Arizonans have relied on the convenience and security of mail-in voting. Originally championed and passed by Republicans, this system has operated successfully and without major issues ever since. Today, nearly 90% of Arizonans choose to cast their ballots early or by mail.
Prop 144 is a Trojan Horse. Its author, and AZGOP candidate for Secretary of State, Rep. Kolodin, alongside his allies and enablers, has deliberately packed the referendum with existing, common-sense provisions to mask its true intent.
The proposition highlights policies like banning non-citizens from voting and blocking foreign money in our elections. While everyone agrees with these ideas, they are already the law. Including them is nothing but bait designed to trick the public into voting "yes."
Make no mistake: the actual purpose buried deep inside Prop 144 is to undermine your fundamental right to easily cast your ballot. If passed, this proposition would:
Create Impossible Mail-In Requirements: It requires every voter to show a government-issued ID at the exact time they cast their ballot. Since you cannot physically show an ID through the mail, this effectively breaks the mail-in voting system, completely ignoring our current, secure signature verification process.
Grant Lawmakers Dangerous Latitude: It enshrines a loophole in the state constitution allowing politicians to pass future election restrictions, specifically targeting early and mail voting, as long as they claim a vague "legitimate state interest."
The calculus behind Prop 144 is as deceptive as it is obvious: the fewer people who can easily and legally cast their votes, the easier it is for these politicians to hold onto power.
City councilman files legal challenge to Arizona's Prop. 144 Tempe city councilman Randy Keating is pursuing a legal challenge to the bundling of multiple state election law changes into a single ballot measure, Proposition 144. HE contends a separate consideration for each provision is needed. Top Republican leaders argue they are related to election integri...
