This month we’re spotlighting one of the most versatile plastics we machine: HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene).

What it’s best used for:
• Industrial parts + components
• Cutting boards + food-safe surfaces
• Outdoor fixtures + playground components
• Marine applications
• Wear strips, guides, and protective panels

HDPE is tough, lightweight, and highly impact-resistant. It won’t splinter, crack, or absorb moisture like wood-based materials, and it performs exceptionally well in wet, outdoor, or high-use environments.

It’s also food-safe (when specified appropriately) and offers excellent resistance to chemicals and wear.

Phoenix Canstruction 2026 is underway at ! This annual Arizona fundraiser brings together teams from the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries for a one-of-a-kind design competition—building incredible structures entirely out of canned food. After the winners are crowned, every single can goes to St. Mary’s Food Bank.
We were excited to help cut platforms for a few of the teams this year, including creative builds from , , ,Whiting-Turner Contracting, and just to name a few.

Some of our customers work in the audio-visual (AV) field, designing and setting up spaces like home theaters, recording studios, and event venues. Here are some perforated panels we cut for . These are used to control the acoustics in a room, absorbing/scattering the sound waves. If you ever need help in the AV realm, call Alex, he's a great guy and very knowledgeable! He even consulted with us on a few ways to improve the noise levels in our office.
