For more than 40 years, Tempe Community Council has managed Agency Review—the community-driven process that helps distribute City of Tempe funding and community donations to local nonprofits serving Tempe residents.

But our work doesn't stop once funding is awarded.

We believe stronger nonprofits create a stronger community. That's why we work year-round to connect agencies with one another, foster partnerships, share resources, amplify their impact, and help organizations thrive beyond the grant cycle.

Back by popular demand! After our spring Financial Empowerment classes filled up quickly and received such great feedback, we’re excited to partner with the YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix again to bring you another round of classes!

Join us for a 4-session Financial Empowerment series where you’ll learn practical money tips you can use right away to budget smarter, save more, and take control of your finances.

Our first session is August 18 and will focus on budgeting. A light meal will be provided, and attendees can earn a $20 gift card per class just for showing up!

At Tempe Community Council, we're looking for more than an executive; we're looking for a leader who will help shape the future of our organization and our community.

As our next Executive Director & CEO, you'll guide TCC through an exciting new chapter as an independent nonprofit while building on more than 50 years of trusted community leadership. This role will focus on strengthening philanthropic investment, diversifying revenue, fostering meaningful partnerships, and ensuring TCC continues to respond to Tempe's evolving human service needs.

We're seeking a strategic, collaborative leader with experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, organizational growth, and relationship building. Someone who can inspire our team, work alongside our Board of Directors, and serve as a trusted partner to the City of Tempe, community organizations, donors, and residents.

If you're passionate about creating lasting community impact and connecting those in need with those who care, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of nonprofit leadership experience
• Proven success in fundraising, major gifts, grants, and strategic growth

📚 Parents, teachers, and caregivers! Tempe students are officially back on campus, and we're officially back with our FREE Online Parenting Workshop Series for caregivers of teens!

The teen years bring new challenges, changes, and opportunities for connection. Designed for caregivers of teens ages 12–17, these workshops use the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program curriculum to provide practical tools and strategies for navigating the teen years with confidence.

Yesterday, ABC15 Arizona spoke with our very own Ann Lynn DiDomenico to highlight the incredible impact of Threadz Teen Clothes Closet and the free resources we provide to students at three local high schools: Marcos de Niza High School, Tempe High School, and Mountain Pointe High School.

Students who live in or attend a Tempe district middle or high school are welcome to visit any of our three clothes closets every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30–4:30 p.m. to access free clothing and other essential resources.

We're proud to support local teens and help ensure every student has what they need to feel confident and succeed. 💙

A new chapter lies ahead for Tempe Community Council, and we are seeking a visionary Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to help lead the way.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic fundraiser, collaborative leader, and relationship builder passionate about creating meaningful community impact.
