Our goal is to help seniors remain safely and independently at home for as long as possible. But sometimes, despite everyone’s best efforts, the safest next step is transitioning to a senior living community.
When home is no longer the safest choice, finding the right senior living community is one of the most important decisions a family can make. We’re happy to share this helpful resource from Woodlands Senior Care

🐾Handle With Care Tip
We meet some pretty special four-legged family members when we’re in our clients’ homes. ❤️
One thing people don’t always think about when preparing for surgery, a hospital stay, or a rehab stay is who will care for their pets.
Even after returning home, something as simple as walking the dog or keeping up with daily pet care can be difficult while you’re recovering.
That’s why I wanted to share a wonderful local resource: Pet Care Co-op provides professional pet care services, giving pet owners peace of mind while they focus on healing.
Planning ahead isn’t just about making your home more accessible it’s also about making sure every member of the family is cared for. 🐶❤️
Have you ever had to make arrangements for your pets while you were away from home?

We're thankful for hospitals... but let's be honest, we don't want our bathrooms to look like one.
When many people hear "grab bars," they picture the shiny stainless steel bars found in hospitals or public restrooms.
Thankfully, today's grab bars have come a long way!
They're available in beautiful styles and finishes like Matte Black, Brushed Nickel, Brushed Brass, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, and more...designed to complement your bathroom, not take away from it.
In fact, when you call Handle with Care, one of the first questions we ask is, "What finish are your bathroom fixtures?" That's how important it is to us that your grab bars look like they belong in your home.
One more thing... you'll notice we don't recommend suction cup grab bars. If you need a grab bar to help prevent a fall, it should be one you can trust.
✨ Which finish would you choose for your bathroom?
We’re grateful to partner with professionals who are passionate about helping older adults age safely and independently.

For wheelchair and walker users, a few extra inches can mean the difference between struggle and independence, for both the individual and the caregiver who supports them every day.
A clinician with Enhabit Home Health and Hospice identified this mobility challenge and connected the patient with resources to help improve accessibility at home. Thank you to Enhabit for recognizing barriers that impact daily life and helping patients remain as independent as possible.
In this case, the wheelchair could not fit through the bathroom doorway, creating a barrier to one of the most essential rooms in the home. By widening the doorway, we’re helping restore access and make daily routines easier for both the client and caregiver.
Creating practical solutions for real-life challenges.

After a hospitalization, rehab stay, or surgery, everyday tasks can suddenly become difficult and frustrating. Preparing the home before discharge can help improve safety, independence, and peace of mind for both individuals and caregivers.
We put together a new article with practical tips for families navigating the journey home.

Happy Friday from Steven and Amber!!
One of the things we love most about this business is the people we meet along the way. Sometimes it’s a conversation at the kitchen table, sometimes a client offering Steve lunch, a cold drink or snacks while he works, and sometimes it’s a sweet handwritten note.
This sweet note was given to Steven after finishing a bathroom project, and honestly, it just made us smile! 😊
To all of our clients, caregivers, therapists, and referral partners…
thank you for supporting our family-owned business and allowing us to be part of your journey.
FloorGrip has become one of our favorite bathroom safety solutions for seniors and families aging in place.

One of the biggest things we hear is:
“I wish we would’ve done this sooner.”
Bathroom safety isn’t one-size-fits-all.
You don’t just want a contractor to install your grab bars, you want someone who understands safety, mobility, balance, and how you actually move through the space every day.
Proper placement based on the individual, not just where a bar “fits” on the wall, can make showering safer, easier, and more comfortable for both seniors and caregivers.
Because feeling safe at home matters. ❤️
If making your bathroom safer for yourself or a loved one has been on your to-do list, we’d be happy to help with a free home safety assessment.
Don’t wait until something happens to say, “I wish we would’ve done this sooner.”
