💉 Keep your kiddos healthy with the flu shot this year!

📣 It is almost time for our annual drive thru flu shot clinic!

‼️ Important things to know:

You must schedule ahead of time via phone OR message on the portal.
For children under the age of 5, please make sure a leg is easily accessible!
Parents with the same private insurance as their child CAN get the flu shot as well.

🚗 We would like everyone to enter the parking lot from Kansas Ave on the west side of the building and drive through the parking lot in front of the building to the east side. There is a pull through area that goes right by the building on the east side, we will have people pull through there, stop to get their flu shots, and exit through a side street on to Quincy St.

🛜 Dangerous Internet Challenges: What Parents Should Know

⚠️ VIRAL DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN SAFE

Before trying an online challenge, tell your child to ask themselves:

Could someone get hurt?
Would I do this if it wasn't being recorded?
Should I talk to a trusted adult first?

When in doubt: STOP & TELL AN ADULT.

🧼✨ Healthy Hands, Healthy Kids! ✨🧼

Friendly reminder on the importance of handwashing! School has just started and we are already seeing A LOT of illnesses.

Handwashing is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to keep your child healthy. Germs spread quickly—especially in schools, playgrounds, and at home.

Teaching your child how to wash their hands the correct way and when to wash can help keep them healthy this school year!

🖐️💦 How to Wash Hands the Right Way 💦🖐️
1️⃣ Wet hands with clean, running water.
2️⃣ Lather with soap—don’t forget the backs of hands, between fingers, and under nails.
3️⃣ Scrub for at least 20 seconds (sing “Happy Birthday” twice 🎶).
4️⃣ Rinse well under clean, running water.
5️⃣ Dry with a clean towel or air dry.

✨ Clean hands = fewer germs, fewer sick days, and healthier kids!

A Quick Reminder About Missed Appointments 💙

We know life happens, and sometimes appointments are missed or plans change. If you’re unable to make your child’s appointment, please give us a call as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.

Missed appointments can prevent another child from being seen when they need care. Giving us advance notice allows us to offer that time to another patient. 🩺

🎒 The first day of a new school year can bring some butterflies for kids — and parents too.

A little worry is normal, and for most kids it fades within the first few weeks.

If your child's feeling nervous, here's what can help: stay calm yourself, do a "test run" of the school before the first day, listen to their worries instead of brushing them off, and praise the brave moments as often as you can!

If the anxiety doesn't ease up within the first few weeks — or shows up as stomachaches, headaches, or refusing to go to school — that's what we are here for!
