Rob Phelps has been quietly making things work around here for a while now, and today we get to make a little noise about him! 🎂 Happy, Happy Birthday, Rob!

Here's what you probably didn't know about the guy:

🥏 He played frisbee golf from age 16 all the way into his fifties. Decades of dedication right there
🏃 He also played Ultimate Frisbee from 16 to 34. Rob did not skip leg day. Ever.
🚤 These days you'll find him at the Lake of the Ozarks chillaxing and working on his car. Honestly, the dream!

Hope your birthday is as great as you are, Rob. We're glad you're on our team! 🎉💚

Hard to believe September is almost in the books. 🍁

It has been a great month of helping Kansas businesses stay secure, productive, and one step ahead of the tech headaches.

As we look toward October, a friendly nudge: it is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and a perfect time to give your defenses a fresh look.

We will be sharing plenty of tips to help you and your team stay protected.

Thanks for a great September. See you in October. 💚

Happy, Happy Birthday, Jordan! 🎂

We could try to describe what makes Jordan great, but honestly, the clients do it better than we ever could. He's the kind of person who makes you feel taken care of, and that's a rare thing.

A few things you might not know about him:
🎻 He played the Viola growing up
🌴 He is half Grenadian on his father's side, representing the beautiful island of Grenada!
🎵 Outside of work, he's into music production. The man has layers 😄

Hope your birthday is as good as you make every day feel around here, Jordan! 🎉💚

Our team traded keyboards for co****le bags on Friday. 🎯

Kevin Selley and Colton Messersmith on one team, Bryce Garner and Jeff Scully on the other, out at Fairlawn Plaza Mall for the annual PARS Co****le Tournament.

Bryce and Jeff took 3rd out of 18 teams. Not bad for a couple of IT guys. 🙌

PARS, Prevention & Resiliency Services, provides substance use prevention, education, and resiliency programs across Topeka. Good cause, good competition, and a few throws we've agreed not to discuss.

Thanks for a fun one, PARS!

There is a first crisp morning every September that tells you fall is on the way. 🍂

Friday night lights, harvest in full swing, county fairs wrapping up, and pumpkin everything showing up at the local coffee shops.

We love this time of year in Kansas. The communities we serve from Topeka to Manhattan to Salina come alive with football games and fall festivals.

What is your favorite part of fall around here? Tell us below.

Have a great weekend, everybody. 💚

Still keeping passwords on a sticky note under your keyboard? 😬

We get it, but there is a better way.

A password manager solves the problem for good:

💡 Creates long, unique passwords for every account
💡 Remembers them so your team does not have to
💡 Fills them in automatically and safely
💡 Makes it easy to share access without sharing the actual password

One strong master password protects everything else. That is a smart trade.

Not sure how to roll one out across your team? That is a quick conversation.

We're always thankful to Network Computing Solutions (NCS) for their support of our tournaments! Thank you for sponsoring the 4th Annual PARS Co****le Tournament, taking place Friday, September 18, starting at 10am at Fairlawn Plaza Mall.

As a Community Sponsor, you help us create a welcoming space where the community can come together in celebration of Recovery Month, while raising awareness and offering hope to individuals and families facing substance use challenges. Thank you for being part of this important work!

We schedule this tournament for September on purpose, since it's Recovery Month. Every year, sponsors like NCS help us take another step toward prevention awareness and less stigma around substance abuse.

Happy birthday to our very own Kevin Selley! 🎂

Kevin brings his A-game to everything he does — whether that's keeping Kansas businesses running smoothly or winning chip shot challenges at golf tournaments. 🏆

A few things you might not know about Kevin:
⛳ Golf is his one and only hobby — and he's probably on the course right now 😄
🤹 He can juggle — a man of many talents
🏛️ He's been to Rome and seen the Sistine Chapel in person — absolutely amazing
👧 He's a proud dad of two daughters — one studying to be an EMT and one with her sights set on collegiate golf!

Happy birthday, Kevin — we're so glad you're on our team! 🎉💚

Today we pause to remember. 🕊️

Twenty-five years later, we still honor the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the resilience of a nation that came together when it mattered most.

From all of us at NCS, we will never forget. 💚

That email from your "CEO" asking for gift cards? Slow down. 🚩

Phishing is still the number one way attackers slip into small businesses, and the messages are getting sneakier.

Watch for these signs:

🔴 Urgent tone pushing you to act fast
🔴 Sender address that is slightly off
🔴 Requests for money, gift cards, or credentials
🔴 Links that do not match where they claim to go
🔴 Unexpected attachments

When in doubt, pick up the phone and verify. Ten seconds beats a costly mistake.

Want to train your team to spot these? We can help.
