We are so grateful to those of you who donated to Langston’s care last month!

From being found in the country with two broken back legs (most likely hit by a car) - to a beloved healthy cat in one of our foster homes, Langston has showed us the true meaning of unconditional love and gratitude.

After an adjustment period, he blossomed into a social butterfly in foster! He enjoys hugging his people, hanging out with the resident dog and the other cats and foster kittens in the house. Despite all he’s been through, Langston is the gentlest boy who never swats or hisses.

He’s in the home stretch now as we await his next set of Xrays. Fingers crossed they show that he’s ready to find his forever home! He’d be a wonderful nursing home or bookstore cat - somewhere he can share his gentle love with as many people as possible. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, send them our way!

Help us welcome our newest additions!

In the past 9 days our small rescue has added 13 new intakes. From being found alone before a storm to thrown out of a car or struggling outside, each kitten comes to us with their own story. They join our nearly 100 animals in over 3 dozen foster homes across Shawnee and nearby counties. Every feline in our care receives an infinite amount of love, churu tubes, medical care, and all the attention they could ever want.

P.S. Every adoption opens up space for us to help kittens like these! If you're interested in adopting, check out our upcoming ASPCA Rescue Effect Fee Waived Adoption Event this coming Sunday the 27th. 😺

We’re excited to announce that this Sunday, we're teaming up with the ASPCA and joining to help more animals find homes with fee waived adoptions! Every adoption helps open up a space for us to take in more kittens at need in our community. From 1-4pm at PetCo you’ll be able to meet many of our adorable kittens and discover your newest family member(s).

All kittens come with a free month’s worth of food and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Each one is raised and socialized in a loving foster home. Check out our website for more details and instructions on submitting a quick and free application to be pre-qualified for the event.

It's hard to believe it's only been six weeks since these three stowaways joined us! It took our volunteers several hours and a lot of churu to get the three semi-feral kittens out from a car engine at Washburn University. They had severe ringworm, upper respiratory infections, and coccidia.

Thankfully Muffler and Radiator gave into their orange nature and quickly warmed up with a little wet food and the magic of pets. Spark Plug took the longest to open up and trust his foster. In the end the daily medication, weight watching, and p**p inspections were worth it. All three boys now look like normal kittens!!! Instead of a harsh life outside, their future contains safe and loving indoor homes.

Shout out to our ringworm foster Alex for taking care of Radiator, Muffler, and Spark Plug.
