Congratulations to Serenity Horn and Michael Weatherly, Topeka High School graduates and recipients of the Dorothy & Craig Yorke, Sr., Scholarship!
In 2002 Craig Yorke, Sr. acted on his wife's long held idea and established the Dorothy and Craig Yorke, Sr. Scholarship to assist ambitious students of color. Dorothy and Craig grew up in Boston in the 1930's. Despite their best efforts, neither was able to finish college. So - they valued education highly. Their grandsons, Zack and Chris, thrived at Topeka High and their experience confirmed the plan to create this scholarship to support its graduates.
