Kansas Press Association
We are a member organization for Kansas newspapers. We can help with advertising too!
Kansas Press Association was organized in 1863 to serve, improve and promote the newspaper industry, and to protect the rights of a free press. Today, KPA continues its efforts by providing newspapers with marketing and educational services, legal and technology hotlines, legislative representation and a forum for the exchange of ideas. The association hosts conventions, conferences and seminars for the newspaper industry, and serves as a central source of industry information. Kansas Press represents more than 235 member newspapers throughout the state, including 35 dailies and approximately 200 weeklies.

Happy Birthday Arthur Capper
Born in Garnett, Kansas on July 14, 1865, Arthur Capper rose to prominence as a journalist, publisher, and founder of several Kansas media outlets including WIBW-TV, WIBW Radio, and Topeka Capital-Journal. Capper was also a decorated statesman serving as Kansas Governor from 1915-1919 and as a U.S. Senator from 1919-1949.
Arthur Capper’s living legacy is the Capper Foundation, founded nearly 106 years ago in 1920, when he vowed to do more for the children.

Congratulations, Vicki!
The Norton Telegram would like to take a moment to recognize Vicki Henderson, who is celebrating the beginning of her 55th year of employment at the newspaper office! After over five decades of dedicated service to our community, Vicki is the only remaining full-time staff member at the Telegram office in downtown Norton. She serves as the Editor, Typist, and Advertising Designer in addition to writing stories and taking photos of community events for each week’s newspaper.
