"π₯ Picture a mom we'll call Dana.
She comes to the Southside Filling Station on a Thursday evening for groceries, including fresh produce grown by Kansas farmers and delivered weekly through our partnership with the Kansas City Food Hub.
While she shops, a Neighbor Advocate intentionally starts a conversation. Dana mentions she has been putting off a health concern because she lost her insurance. So the Neighbor Advocate shows her how to see a doctor anyway: through Aimee Healthcare, she can complete an online visit for just $9 with a $5 monthly membership, no insurance required. Cairn Health helps her afford the prescription she has been skipping. And before she leaves, she learns that when spring comes, she can get her taxes done free through the Community Resource Council and AARP, in the same building.
Four partners. One door. One conversation.
Stories like Dana's are why SENT Inc. is built on partnership. In 2025, our Neighbor Advocates coordinated 1,047 referrals, and 345 of them, roughly 1 in 3, connected neighbors to partners outside SENT. We are not trying to keep people in our programs. We are trying to get people to the right help, wherever it lives.
Prevention costs less than crisis. Connection costs less than chaos.
This month, we are telling the story of the partners who make the wraparound model work.

π A huge thank you to the Pittsburg State University Plastics Engineering Technology Program for a generous and thoughtful donation!

π We do not take words like these lightly.
Toby recently shared this review of SENT Inc., and we wanted to make sure our team β and our community β got to read it in full:
"Great staff, incredible resources, and personally the best thing I could have been introduced to for my situation with life. Thank you all for the work you guys do and be proud of the lives you change. You make a difference, and I am forever grateful."
β Toby J.
Toby, thank you for taking the time to share this. Words like yours remind us why this work matters β and why we keep showing up every single day.
To the SENT team: this one is for you. The relationships you build, the consistency you bring, and the care you offer to every neighbor who walks through our doors β it changes lives. Toby's words are proof of that.
And to anyone who has been wondering whether to reach out β this is what it looks like when someone does. π
