Our hearts go out to Pam Young and so many others whose lives Tom touched. Tom wrote beautiful choreography for round dances as well as being married to and partners with Pam Young, retired curt in the Topeka area.

Tom was a kind soul with a smile that welcomed as much as the tender hug or handshakes given to Round and Square Dancers alike. He helped teach hundreds of lessons with Pam and thus he had a hand in teaching all of the cures in the Topeka area, myself included.

It’s coming this Sunday!!!! You guessed it ; it’s TENDERFOOT 2023. Northeast Kansas’ 2022-2023 tenderfoot dance is this Sunday, March 19th, at Croco Hall. All dancers please be there, ready for the festivities to begin around 2pm. Square dancing has really taken a hit since COVID, so let’s really celebrate these new dancers.

Enjoy callers and cuer of clubs in the northeast area. Get to know the new dancers and reunite with angels who you might not have seen in a while now that we are out dancing again. Hear announcements about any changes that clubs have in times or when the next lessons start.

Please remember that we dance according to how lessons are taught so remember that our tender feet don’t know all the frills and styling that we are used to. Back to back do-si-do etc. Above all let’s really have fun and enjoy the dance!

So, I know that I have been completely silent for a long time. I sincerely apologize for that. But, I am going to try posting more on a regular basis. More to come....

What a wonderful weekend at the Kansas State Convention!!!!
