Kansas contractors are represented in DC this week during Associated General Contractors of America’s national leadership conference. KCA Board Treasurer Mike Hoffman with Alan’s Excavating, Vice President Travis Rose with Bridges Inc., and Executive Director Michael White are on Capitol Hill today advocating for heavy and highway interests.

Applications for Fall 2026 are now open for local communities to apply for cost share assistance on local infrastructure projects.

The Fall 2026 Cost Share Applications are NOW OPEN! This program provides financial assistance to local entities for construction projects that improve safety and help improve the transportation system.

A great improvement on Fort Riley Blvd. completed by KCA member Shilling Construction Company Inc. for the City of Manhattan, Kansas - Municipal Government - and finished in time for football season!

The Bigger Dip - a national vintage construction equipment show - will be in Concordia next weekend (August 28-30). KCA member Dane Barclay, owner and president of Alsop Sand Company, helped spearhead bringing the national event to Kansas. Dane and other machine operators will be giving equipment demonstrations throughout the weekend.
