I have had quite a few new guests lately that are sensitive or allergic to Aloe. While I LOVE Innersense, most of their products do have aloe in them.
So for all my aloe adverse/allergic people, I have found some great products for you!
Redken has 6 products I have found that are aloe free AND silicone free!
I do not currently carry these in the salon, but if you are interested in trying them, there will be a link below and in the comments to have shipped directly to you!

Are you wanting to add color, but worried you’ll lose your curl definition? Good news: you can have both.
As a curly + color specialist I say: test it's strength → treatment if needed → moisture follow-up.
Your curls stay intact, your color looks vibrant and fresh.
DM me a photo and we’ll talk about how to make this work for you.

It's National Beard Day, so I can't let this go by without shouting out the "beard" that keeps this salon running when things break. Thank you, Matt, for putting up with my crazy ideas, and also making them happen! 🥰

You don't need to shampoo your hair daily.
I know everyone has their own beliefs on this, but in my experience, daily is too often. Why?
Every time you shampoo, you are washing or stripping your scalp and hair of it's natural oils. When you shampoo too frequently, you hair becomes dehydrated, and your scalp works overtime to replenish what was removed. Then you end up with oily scalp and dry ends... and no one loves that.
I suggest shampooing as often as your HAIR is dirty. If your hair isn't dirty, but your scalp is oily, or you don't like how your scalp feels, "wash" it with water, not shampoo. A heavy rinse of your scalp, and conditioner on mids and ends if needed is a perfect in between fix! Let me know if you do this, or if you try it out!

🌿4 things I don't do as your curl specialist.🌿

1. I don't use the curl type chart. Every curly I have seen has at least 2 or 3 types, so why put you in a box?
2. There is no "perfect" product that will work on everyone's hair. Let's work to find the right one for YOU.
3. I cut your hair to the style we both feel will work best for you. Everyone's curls and daily routine is different. I want your cut to be yours, not a brand specific look.
4. There is no judgement when you walk in. You may know alot, or a little. If you are learning still, I will help you. If you know what you're doing, great, let's refine or review what's working. If you are just starting out, I got you. We will do this together.
