Project Unify

We have our heading. We will be traveling to the Margaret Street Church of Christ to work and the the CHURCH of CHRIST at avalon starting Monday. Avalon took damage to the building, and has many in the surrounding area with trees down. Margaret Street's building held strong and will be where we set up and stay. We will also be serving the neighborhoods surrounding their building. Looking like tree cutting and tarps are going to be the biggest needs. The reason we do what we do is to spread the gospel. Please keep this effort in your prayers, and spread the word in case you know of needs in the area we can meet. To God be the glory!

The storm has moved inland, we are in communication with our costal contacts. So far everyone is good, no power and many trees are down, but they are safe. We are rapidly making plans and will keep you updated. Will know a lot more at day light. To God be the glory!

Dropped to a CAT 2 storm about an hour ago. Sheer is weakening the storm but is still a very serious situation. Please take it seriously. We are still in communication with our contacts in the area, we will be ready to assist. Keep praying for all those affected. To God be the glory!

Cat 3 as of 8 a.m. this morning, has strengthened over the warm gulf waters. What happens now? A lot can change over the next few hours, after landfall the storm is expected to move across Alabama very quickly and be gone for most of us by noon. That being said, we will know a lot more about our plans by Saturday morning. We will be making a live video later today to discuss what we are doing, and what you can do also. Possibly becoming at CAT 3 tonight, we still expect weakening just before landfall, but nothing is guaranteed with the weather. We've been in contact with brethren from Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Storms like this can change quickly, so we will wait to finalize any plans until after landfall. We have a plan together no matter what the storm does, we will have our equipment ready to go, and plan to be on the road no later than Monday if we are needed. This system is continuing on a growing path. Forecasts are increasing conference that it will make it to at least a cat 2 storm at landfall. This week will slowly become more and more accurate of a forecast as we go forward. Keep eyes on the storm and this page for more information as we prepare to serve those in need while spreading the gospel. To God be the glory!

Still a lot to consider, but predicted to be a cat 2 at landfall. We are watching this one closely. Still a lot of wind sheer on the coast. Keep allnof this in your prayers. We will be ready if needed. To God be the glory!

Invest 92L is trying to put together a hurricane by the end of the week. Saturday is expected landfall. A few questions with this system still remain such as the wind sheer and dry air right on the coast that typically kills a hurricane. If it can develop in the gulf, can it make it through the sheer on the coast, or will it fall apart just before landfall. Either way, we are making sure our equipment is ready to go. This is the first time in 2 years weve needed to prepare for a possible hurricane. Keep eyes on it, keep prayers sent. Please stay up to date on our page this week untill we know more. What a blessing to be back in Harrisburg AR with the Harrisburg Church of Christ today! They have been a supporting congregation for some time now and sent us home with a trailer, and EVERYTHING needed to host tent meetings, distribution of supplies during disasters, or anything else a 100x50 tent can do!
