J.R. European Mounts

Another one ready for it's final resting place. Nice south Texas buck with chocolate antlers on our dark oak picture mount.

This is a special piece. This is a young man's first buck. This skull is mounted on our black walnut picture mount. It also has the brass rifle casing engraved with name and date.

We are very pleased to have donated our skull cleaning services and a Texas wall plaque to the Trinity County Crime Stoppers organization for their yearly Gala and auction to raise money for them.We proudly support our men and women of law enforcement.

Very important step in a quality skull mount is getting all of the grease out of the bone. If it is not all removed it will resurface down the road and turn the skull yellow. The attached photo is of a whitetail skull that has only been in our degreasing solution for 24 hours and look at the amont of grease that has been pulled from the skull and floating on top.

PSA. This is an educational post. Folks please be mindful of who you take your trophy buck to for a European mount. The first 2 pictures in this post are NOT my work but someone else advertising the same type of services that I offer. This person has completely destroyed all of the delicate nasal bones inside the nasal cavity by using a pressure washer inside the nasal and blowing all the nasal bones completely out of the skull. Even if you don't use my services ask your skull guy about his process and if they mention boiling or a pressure washer RUN!!
