Integrated Design Solutions

We’re proud to see the completion of the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility designed to support comprehensive behavioral health care and the people who provide it.

From thoughtful patient spaces to secure outdoor courtyards and modern staff amenities, this project reflects the impact of design that puts people first.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this important project to life!

What does “integrated” mean to you?

We asked our team that very question, and we got some great answers.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing their perspectives on what it means to work integrated and how collaboration shapes the work we do every day.

This month, we’re celebrating the team members who continue to bring their talent, dedication, and expertise to IDS. Thank you for all you do to help make IDS a great place to work and design together!

Join us in congratulating our October anniversary milestones!

A milestone worth celebrating!

We’re proud to be part of the team bringing Michigan State University’s future Leinweber Center for Engineering and Digital Innovation to life. From groundbreaking research to innovative learning environments, this project will help shape the future of engineering and technology for generations to come.

We’re excited to watch this vision take shape and look forward to seeing the Leinweber Center open its doors in 2028!

A fresh look, renewed energy, and a new chapter for a familiar campus destination!

Our team was proud to join Macomb Community College last week for the grand reopening of the newly renovated Athletics & Expo Center at the South Campus in Warren.

We’re excited to celebrate this milestone and see this space come back to life, and even more excited to have played a part in bringing the vision for the renovated facility to reality.

Congratulations to Macomb Community College on the reopening!

Join us in congratulating our team members celebrating a work anniversary this month. From bringing creativity and expertise to every project to supporting our clients and each other, we’re grateful for everything you bring to the IDS team.

Here’s to another year of designing, collaborating, creating, and making an impact together!

Happy work anniversary to our September celebrants!

Another Successful Summer of Interns at IDS!

As summer comes to a close, we’re celebrating another fantastic group of interns who brought fresh ideas, curiosity, and plenty of talent to the IDS team!

This summer, our interns jumped right into real projects across PK-12 and Higher Education, gaining hands-on experience and growing alongside our teams every step of the way. From getting comfortable with Revit and Enscape to joining Lunch & Learns and taking the lead on design work of their own, they embraced every opportunity to learn and contribute.

One intern summed it up perfectly: “Each building is unique and requires deeper levels of problem solving and case study than most realize.” And challenge after challenge, our interns stepped up to the plate.

Beyond the technical skills, what stood out most was the growth in confidence. As another intern reflected, "this team has built my confidence to take on any challenge and design with a purpose." That's exactly the kind of impact we hope every intern walks away with.

That’s what we hope an IDS internship is all about: gaining experience, finding your voice, building confidence, and discovering what it means to Design With Purpose.

To our 2026 interns: thank you for an awesome summer. We’re excited to see where you go next!
