Today, we had our friends from Trumbull Public Schools share the books that will be read during this year’s Read Aloud Day! One of the books that will be read is “The Street Beneath My Feet” by Charlotte Guillian, which is a double-sided foldout book that takes you on a fascinating journey deep underground.

We look forward to volunteering again this year, and continue to support TPS in any way we can.

 For the fourth year, our Rotary club joined our Trumbull community for the candlelight vigil and recognition of World Su***de Prevention Day, sponsored by My Friend Abby.
It was a touching evening of remembrance, reflection and hope honoring lives lost to su***de.
We are grateful to  Friend Abby for bringing our community together and shining a light on mental health awareness, and su***de prevention.

Our children's book has made it to Uganda! How beautiful is that?!

At our Friday meeting this week, our guest speaker will be from LivFree.

livfreetoday represents an important piece of the childhood cancer support community by bringing families together through a Moment of Joy.
When a child and their family is ready to:
- Take a break during a window in treatment,
- Celebrate a treatment cycle coming to an end,
- Or honor the life of their child,
LivFree is there to react, create, and deliver a smile at a local sporting event, museum, show, amusement park, or a special night out. These moments may seem small, but they are as mighty as the young warriors who inspire them.

Today, our members teamed up with the Rotary Clubs of Bridgeport, Fairfield, Monroe, and Rotary District 7980 Disaster Task Force and assembled meal packages provided by The Outreach Program, which supports food distribution projects throughout New England.
We packed more than 86,000 meals, with a total of 400 boxes of food being distributed to local food pantries serving families in need. Each box contains 36 meal packages; Each meal package contains 6 meal servings.
