She’s prepping for Taste of Tucker, welcoming the Rotary Club of Tucker to NETWorks for a grant presentation supporting Growings, bundling 40,000 Taste Tickets with some fabulous volunteers 😳 — and then heading to the Tucker Farmers Market tonight to sell our beautiful hydroponically grown Growings lettuce! 🥬

Our truck helps us pick up food and supplies and move resources where they need to go. And vehicles need gas. Tires. Oil changes. Maintenance. And, yes, occasionally repairs.

It's not glamorous.

It's essential.

Because getting food onto our shelves is part of getting food onto our neighbors' tables.

September 11 | Patriot Day

Today, we remember.

We remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders and ordinary people who acted with extraordinary courage. And we hold close the families and communities who carry the weight of that day still.

We also remember what followed: neighbors helping neighbors, strangers caring for one another, and communities finding strength in service.

Twenty-five years later, may we continue to choose compassion, kindness, and care for our neighbors—not only in moments of tragedy, but every day.

When you're donating canned proteins—tuna, chicken, Vienna sausages and other ready-to-eat foods—pop-top and tear-open packaging can make a BIG difference.

Why?

Some of our neighbors experiencing homelessness may not have:

❌ A kitchen
❌ Cooking equipment
❌ A can opener

A can of food isn't very helpful if you can't get into it.

So when you're choosing between two cans, grab the one with the pop top.

It's a tiny detail that can make food much more accessible to the neighbor receiving it.
