We're completely re-doing the kitchen, bathroom and making layout changes to this venerable ranch home, while also adding a screen porch off the back of the house. 💪

We permit big jobs like this in order to make sure everything is up to current code, and Dekalb County came out to check the work we did updating the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and framing systems. 🕵️‍♂️

The inspector found everything done right, so now we're ready to move forward with the second half of the renovation: Installing insulation, drywall, cabinets and finishes-n-fixtures. This is where the process get's REALLY FUN as the transformation takes place. 😁

Remember that screen porch from the last update?

Yeah, it's nearing the finish line, framed up and ready for screens and finishing touches.

We just passed our rough electrical, plumbing, HVAC and framing inspections on this whole-home renovation near Northlake Mall in Northeast Atlanta, and the screen porch was an add-on that will deliver mad value for the homeowner in terms of enjoyment of their property.

As you can see from the photos, we included some neat features on this screen porch: A pre-wired TV wall, an extra-wide staircase and landing for keeping a grill accessible, a doggy door with clear vinyl paneling, and beautifully-crafted eaves to give the whole thing a unique look.

We're hard at work on an interior home remodeling project in a pocket of northeast Atlanta, and our client elected to create a fresh outdoor entertaining area with a screen porch.

Not only does a screen porch add entertaining space, it adds value to a home that shows up down the road when you sell it. It is relatively easy to permit, and when built right, lasts as long as the house.

Just completed a home renovation project in the City of Decatur where we completed transformed the kitchen and created a new office with private bathroom in this 1940s bungalow.

It never ceases to amaze us how just opening up a wall or two and updating the layout and finishes can completely modernize one of these old houses.

We added recessed lighting, new custom cabinets, quartz countertops, and replaced the old wood-burning stove with a snazzy new electric one encased in a beautiful backsplash framing a hand-crafted wood mantelpiece. We also re-imagined a wide hallway to have more storage cabinetry, because utility is one of the most valuable renovations you can make to your home.

Better yet, our wonderful client absolutely LOVED their renovated home. They have a private office in which to work and a kitchen better suited for entertaining and preparing meals, plus plenty of storage.
