A pet memorial that recently went home. 🧡 This young Mexican red knee tarantula named Rose Bud was very loved, but unfortunately passed a few days after molting. At only about 1.5inches in size, I’m glad I was able to save the abdomen and create a lasting memorial piece for her young owner. 🕷️ This display turned out beautifully. 🩶
I’ve been doing expos as Respectfully Dead for a couple of years now, every show the setup continues to evolve, along with the goodies I’m able to create and offer.
I’m pretty proud with the setup this year & look forward to another expo in just a couple weeks! 😅 All American Plant & Reptile Expo Oct 17 & 18! Hope to see you then! 💀🩶

👀 Will you be at the Tucson Reptile Expo coming up this weekend? Respectfully Dead will be there with a packed full table of hand crafted goodies! Come say hi and take a look! 😁💀
Here is a Kimberly rock monitor I recently finished. 🦎🏜️ Fully preserved via mummification, surrounded by all natural flora foraged by RD.
Kims are a species of dwarf monitor lizard that are native to Australia. This guy was donated to me via a private keeper & breeder of this species.

A few of the insect / arachnid pieces I’ve done 😁 Always nice looking back on old works and seeing just how many pieces you’ve actually created 🤍
Some of the insect pieces I’ve done! 😄🕷️🪲🐌 No critter is ever harmed for the purpose of art, they’re found naturally deceased or donated to be by private keepers. I really enjoy doing non skeleton work as well, so much easier in reality lol
What a big beautiful and nearly perfect specimen of a tailless whip scorpion! 🖤Sometime earlier this year I was vending an expo and had a bug vendor offer this guy to me, as they had unfortunately passed away during transport to the event & thought it would be better to offer them to me for a second life, rather than disposal.
I was happy to oblige! This species is so cool & we even have ones native here in Arizona!
If you ever have a lil pet critter pass away, we offer memorial pieces for them as well!
