C4C inspires community service as each athlete from the book is authentically involved in their own communities through environmental and social projects.
A program for middle school youth that inspires them to make change in their schools and communities all while learning about earth sciences through amazing stories of world renowned sports heroes and explorers. Created with teachers, Champions for Change (C4C) uses young people's interest in sports heroes and explorers to engage middle school students in language arts, math, and science, including many who have not yet shown interest in these topics. C4C motivates students to excel in life by reading about and even communicating with their heroes, who serve as role models for personal discipline, leadership and wellness as well as examples of strong commitment to and work for healthy communities and environment.
