Slow down, experience the world, and connect with nature through mindfulness with naturalist and conservation biologist Tom Fleischner. 🌎

What happens when we truly pay attention to the world around us? This is the question Fleischner explores in his new book, Astonished By Beauty: A Field Guide to the Practice of Paying Attention.

On Oct. 22 from 6-7 p.m. in ENR2 S107, Fleischner will be holding a talk and signing for his newest book, Astonished By Beauty: A Field Guide to the Practice of Paying Attention.

Are you committed to building a more sustainable future? Are you inspired by creative storytelling about the natural world?

Arizona Environment is hiring a student digital content specialist!

This student employee will have the opportunity to:

- Brainstorm, pitch, and develop brand-aligned multimedia content for distribution across Arizona Environment digital channels including website, social platforms, and newsletters
- Support the management of Arizona Environment social media accounts
- Collaborate closely with the Find Your Environment Student Engagement specialist on content creation and distribution
- Utilize analytics to develop strategies for audience engagement and growth

Gain experience in digital communications and marketing, analytics reporting, and environmental and science communication!

8 hours per week, $17 per hour.

Join us this Thursday for "Holding Earth: A Creative Exploration of Eco-Emotions and Connection to Nature, Community, and Self!"

The world is changing, and many of us carry emotions tied to environmental uncertainty. This workshop offers a welcoming space to pause, reflect, and explore these emotions, as well as our connection to nature, community, and self.

Facilitator Maria Renée Johnson, griefworker, artist, and environmental professional, will guide participants through common eco-related emotions using mindfulness and creative approaches.

Students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited to this next Craft and Connect workshop!
