We are a non-profit ministry serving Tucson and the surrounding areas for over 40 years.
It’s our vision that everyone in Southern Arizona has the opportunity to be loved and live healthy lives. Caring Ministries has been providing food and clothing to families across Southern Arizona for over 40 years. The work began in the early-1970s when Pastor Ross Hanna started a food ministry out of Sharing Ministries Baptist Church in the Old Pascua neighborhood of Tucson. In 1992, that ministry was established as a separate nonprofit, Caring Ministries. Caring Ministries is blessed by the donated goods that are given by private donors, as well as a network of local grocery stores in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Resources are then sent to dozens of churches and ministries who redistribute the goods to their local communities.

This past weekend Christian Challenge brought a group to volunteer. The group helped with our recent yard sale and stayed to unload the food rescue trucks. This is the fifth year Christian Challenge has brought a group and we are grateful.

This morning, U-City (University City Church), had a great group of volunteers making food boxes for their distribution tomorrow. Thank you for taking the time to serve others in need.

Yesterday, 72 volunteers from Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, spent their morning with us. Helping sort can goods for our holiday distribution. We are grateful for all of their hard work and the continued partnership.
