Tucson Candidate Forums

All forums are open to the public. Please note that anyone attending the forum will not be allowed to wear campaign t-shirts, buttons or carry signs in support of any one candidate. No posters or yard signs are allowed in the forum room. The purpose of these forums is to provide attendees an opportunity to listen and learn about candidate’s positions before they vote. As per the Pima County Public Library Code of Conduct, guns, weapons, or other items designed or intended to harm people are not allowed on library property.

OCA applauds the Supreme Court's decision to uphold birthright citizenship, reaffirming the constitutional guarantee of equal protection for all children born in the United States.

I am honored to join the YWCA Southern Arizona panel, “Celebrating the Resilience and Self-Efficacy of Women” in Tucson on June 4. My approach will be from a Chinese American perspective facing challenges as a product of traditional Asian culture, leveraging cultural behaviors as assets in AANHPI and Western working and social environments, and building an authentic leadership brand. Joining me are outstanding women, Daisy Jenkins, Esq. and Christina Bell Andrews. Moderating is award winning investigative NBC reporter, Lupita Murillo.

The deadly shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, alongside the recent shootings in Austin, underscores the urgent need for action against gun violence, hate-fueled extremism, and the racist rhetoric that continues to endanger communities nationwide.
