“SET SAIL - Your Guide to Meal Planning, Provisioning, and Boat-Friendly Recipes for Charter Yacht Vacations”
The first cookbook for bareboat charterers with more than 70 recipes for meat-lovers as well as vegans, and people with GF and DF preferences.
**Think about refrigerator space BEFORE you order groceries.**
A yacht refrigerator and freezer are much smaller than the ones you have at home. Choose refrigerated and frozen foods carefully, look for compact ingredients, and make shelf-stable foods an important part of your meal plan.
Before you put something on your provisioning list, don't just ask, “What do we want to eat?”
Also ask, “Where are we going to put it?”
It's a question that can save you a lot of trouble once the groceries arrive!

Watching the sunset is magical every time!
Sandwiches taste even better in paradise!
**Don't underprovision either!**
Running to the grocery store isn't quite so simple when you're on a yacht. You may need to find a mooring, take the dinghy ashore, walk to the store, shop, haul everything back and put it all away.
Plan to restock a few fresh items during the week, but don't spend valuable vacation time repeatedly grocery shopping.
And hold onto those grocery bags during the dinghy ride! 😉

Remembering a perfect day - shade, sand, and turquoise water
**Don't overprovision “just in case.”**
It's easy to buy too much when you're worried about running out of food. But island groceries are expensive, refrigerator space is limited, and you may end up eating ashore more often than you originally planned.
Make a realistic meal plan and take the time to calculate quantities before ordering your groceries. You'll save money, reduce food waste, and have a lot more room aboard.
