Session #3 last week with my Oklahomie brother Jesse James Was a blast cutting 5 songs with him! Got to do things a little different and record cello, upright bass, and harmonica for his record!

Thank you to Jake Clayton Randy Servello Nicky V (who apparently I didn't get pics on this session of), and John Cook for playing the tunes and giving us great takes!

Session #2 this week was a fun one cutting a couple more Americana songs with Rhyne McCormick! Thanks for Randy Servello James Cook and Nicky V for playing and making my job easy!

Session #1 this week was HUGE. We had 19 Royer ribbons (plus all the other stuff), maxed out all the preamps we had and had to bring more in. All for an amazing day with Vinnie Ciesielski

Thank you Royer Labs for sending 3x of the new R-12 mics for us to play with as well! They sounded fantastic on trumpets

Also another big thank you to Joshua Gregory who assisted on the session!

Finally getting around to sharing a few pics from my last shoot with BL Joe ! Always love what he's able to capture with a camera!

Pretty cool to run sound for Bill Medley (The Righteous Brothers) and Ronnie McDowell both who are multi-time #1 artists and songwriters each. We recorded a podcast with a live studio audience at The Troubadour Nashville then Ronnie followed it up with a concert with his band.

My friend Michael Ponder did a great job putting together a great team and organizing the event! We plan to do many more together with Ronnie hosting the podcast

This past week has been big for me career wise.

1) went to my first AES Nashville meeting as an official member of the committee

And

2) got the keys to my first recording studio! Am so excited to be building out a room with my friend Dan J. Synn in East Nashville. We're getting it all set up from scratch and I'll be posting quite a bit more about it in the coming weeks. I'll still be working freelance in other studios as I have been in the past, but now will have a place that is more of my own, The Meadow.

(Also sorry to all I haven't gotten back with yet. Spent a month out of state and offline!)

It was an honor to speak on a panel for the inaugural Chickasaw Youth Leadership Conference. It was so much fun to chat with the up and coming generation about Life After Highschool alongside .png and Lauren John who I grew up with, and two new friends and Colton Bird. It's amazing to witness the opportunities that these youth are getting to experience and how they are being exposed to all types of career paths, both from our panel and the other activities they had during the week.

Thank you to Esther Davis, Nicole Schultz , Nacobi Nucosee , and everyone else who was a part of the team that has organized the program for the youth.

Had a great time chatting with Mike Manos with KCNP Chickasaw Community Radio about music production and tribal involvement. The interview will be aired as one of their monthly spotlights in the coming months

Also got the chance to talk and catch up with Sunnie Dawn Baker ! So much fun seeing her again unexpectedly, and there may be some exciting news coming out in the CN times before long as well!
