Raced Grand Forks on Friday night, finally got the engine feeling great, but struggled with luck elsewhere. Poor draws in the heat and redraw kept us from being able to work worth clean air, and the car wasn't quite good enough to pass off the dominant top groove.
Heat: 6th -> 3rd
Feature: 8th -> 6th
We'll be back out next Friday @ River Cities, and may even add another special event to close out the season. Stay tuned!

A bit late, but better late than never; here's the recap from Nationals championship Saturday.
We'd line up 3rd in the 6 lap pole dash, and unfortunately selected the wrong gears, misreading the track a bit. On the start I fell back to 5th, but was able to fight back to 4th, which would line us up 7th for the 35 lap A-Main. During the A, we wound up yet again battling with some fueling issues, and you can't win a race like this with a car that's running so-so. I fell back as far as 9th at one point, but was able to claw my way back up to 5th at the finish after a good battle with Westen Johnson a very talented young driver from Wisconsin.
Huge thanks go out to Jerry Auch , RJ, and Lorne for their help in the pits Friday & Saturday. Going racing alone is very tough so when you can get good help like this, it makes a huge difference.
We're working hard on the fueling problems and will be giving it everything we've got for the last couple races of the season. See you in Grand Forks this Friday!
Nats night 1 was a bit weird, but overall we had great speed. Hot laps felt good, was ready to qualify when the track suddenly had timing & scoring issues. Unfortunately this meant no one would be able to set Qualifying lap times, which was unfortunate as I really like laying it all out there in qualifying.
Instead we went by pill draw which put us staring 4th in heat #3. We'd get a a good start and get to 2nd, then reeled in the leader with this pass to take the lead coming to the white Flag. In the feature, we'd start 8th and were carefully starting to find a groove when something bizarre happened; the air cleaner mounting stud snapped off, which was messing with airflow and the throttle linkage, making the engine run really strange and inconsistent. One lap it'd be ok, another it felt like we only had half throttle. Being aware that I wasn't gonna hurt anything, I ran it as hard as I could and was able to finish 5th, but we were leaving a TON of speed on the table. Very strange.
Long story short, this was good enough for 5th in points tonight, locking us into tomorrow's Nationals A-Main! Stay tuned for more updates
