The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an Assistant Chaplain to join our team.

This position works closely with TCSO, community religious organizations, volunteers, and inmates. Responsibilities include recruiting and coordinating volunteers, providing clergy support such as hospital visits, offering guidance and counseling, and helping develop and oversee religious and cognitive programs within the jail.

Today we welcomed Tulsa Tech Criminal Justice students to TCSO Headquarters!

Students got an inside look at several career paths within the Sheriff’s Office, hearing from our Emergency Telecommunications Directors as well as TCSO Captains and Sergeants. They had the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about different areas of the Office, and even check out the SWAT MRAP.

Through our partnership with Tulsa Tech, Criminal Justice students have a guaranteed Detention Officer position with TCSO after graduation.

Whether they choose to become a 911 Dispatcher or start their career as a Detention Officer, there are so many opportunities waiting for them right here in Tulsa County.
