Shower Time Is The Right Time Why is it that some of my best, most creative ideas come while I'm in the shower? I don't have my computer, iPad or a notepad handy to write it down. So with soap in my eyes a stumble out of the shower to the counter where my phone sits and dictate a quick thought or note. Back in the shower again my mind is racing and all kinds of good stuff is running through my brain (and it's not the shampoo!). But why? More precisely, why THERE? I'm sure there are some deep psychological reasons for it, but here's my take.

I'm Relaxed- My shower is not only a place where the dirt comes off, but the stress as well. Sore muscles invigorated, the cleansing power of the steam and water... The weight of my business decisions, deadlines, appointments and finances washes off and down the drain, if only for a few moments;
I'm Comfortable- I love a hot shower. The water feels and sounds refreshing, the smells of the soap and https://www.synergizeme.net/shower-time-is-the-right-time/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

7 Choices of a Loser Boss… Loser Boss...

Don't want to have one? Then don't be one...

Loser bosses tend to:

1. Disgust themselves... you can't hate yourself and lead others well... so love yourself instead.

2. Diminish others... a weak ego props itself up with the carcasses of others... so build up others instead.

3. Despise counsel... loser bosses see no value in the advice, directions, suggestions or warnings of others... so seek wise counsel instead.

4. Divide & conquer... uncertain withhold information or cause dissension as a means of crowd control... so enhance team spirit instead.

5. Dash hopes... jaded bosses sew cynicism as a habit and as a reflection of their own misery... so inspire a vision instead.

Don't be a loser boss.

Don't be a loser leader. Losers are wieners.

The world needs winners. Be a winner, not a wiener. https://www.synergizeme.net/7-choices-of-a-loser-boss/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

Get Off Your Back We've all been disappointed, betrayed, burned by someone we trusted. Maybe someone we loved.
It hurts bad. It causes us to question everything about that relationship. We wonder if that person was every really our friend. We question how that co-worker or neighbor could ever cross that line with us. We're angry. We're confused. We feel violated.

But we move on. We can stay bitter, or we can forgive and press ahead. After forgiveness, we hear ourselves saying things like this to ourselves and to others:

I'll forgive, but I'll never forget.
I'll forgive, but I'll never trust him/her again.
I'll forgive, but I can't ever like this person as much as I once did.
I'll forgive, but I'll make sure others know he/she can't be trusted.
I'm trying to forgive, but there's a part of me that will never be able to truly forgive him/her.

I understand the pain. The need to be cautious is genuine. But let me ask you to consider https://www.synergizeme.net/get-off-your-back/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

When Only The Best Will Do- There’s ME… Vanity... if we're honest, we've all been there.

We've looked around our neighborhood, our church, our workplace and surveyed the landscape. At the conclusion of our perusal, we're convinced of one thing... "I'm glad I'm me, and not them." Now, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being satisfied in your life, or with yourself. That's simply having a healthy and productive self-image/self-esteem in place. If you do, then good for you!

But what happens when that "feel good feeling" starts to multiply and grow out of control? It becomes a dangerous, even deadly cancer called Pride, and it can kill your ability to work with others effectively to achieve amazing results, whether that be in your family, social or work life.

I mentioned the “7 Deadly Sins That Kill Synergy”… They are:

Wrath(Anger)- I’ve tried to work with others before, and they just end up hacking me off!
Greed(Selfishness)- I don’t want https://www.synergizeme.net/when-only-the-best-will-do-theres-me/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

Are You Getting What I’m Saying? We all have those encounters where we feel like things are lost in the translation from our lips to their ears. This happens in conversations, in writing and now even more so through social media. Sometimes the translation gets lost between our heart and theirs. Feelings are wounded, misunderstanding compounds on misunderstanding, motives are questioned.

If you and I are going to talk, to share, to attempt to understand others in this life, we have to know that there will be times of misunderstanding and hurt feelings. But how do we make those times the exception to the rule, not the norm?

Be Clear. Speak, write & communicate with incredible clarity. If you consistently have problems with your words being misunderstood, then maybe it's not the receivers of information that have the problem, but you. Write your words down, read them, rewrite them and bounce them off of a trusted friend or co-worker if necessary. But make https://www.synergizeme.net/are-you-getting-what-im-saying/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost

This Decision Could Change the Rest of Your Life… So you're facing a decision.
It may seem HUGE to you, or it might be insignificant. But there's no getting away from it, you have to make a choice. To NOT choose is to make a choice. The trouble is, you have absolutely no clue as to how to proceed. You're struggling. This is hard. Really hard. So what do you do?

Talk to mentors...
Find someone who is older, wiser (not always the same) and ask for some perspective. Choose someone that has nothing to do with your job or your company. This allows for some objectivity that you might have by being so close to the situation. Consider seeking input from more than one person in this category.
Write it down...
Take out a piece of paper and make 2 columns. Label one of the CHOICE, and the other one CONSEQUENCES. Then spend some quiet and uninterrupted time thinking through what all of your options are. After you've built a comprehensive list of the https://www.synergizeme.net/this-decision-could-change-the-rest-of-your-life/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost
