Travis Linville
When someone comes from as strong a musical stock as Travis Linville, a conventional life and the path not taken are irreversibly conjoined.
His preternatural musical work ethic was ignited as a small child on the built-in stage in his grandparents’ music room, and since then, Linville’s thirty-something years of sweat equity have culminated in a winding, successful career built of disparate parts: veteran and up-and-comer, mentor and underdog, session player and bandleader, sideman and songwriter. A sought-after collaborator, Linville

This great write up by Drew Haley in the Tahlequah Times really captures the vibe and articulates what makes house concerts so special ❤ Thanks to Mark for hosting and all the folks who came with open ears!
A Sunday Evening With Travis Linville: Highway 10, Good Food, and Oklahoma Music at Its Finest Musically, the range was impressive. Linville shifted between electric guitar and electric dobro, changing moods with ease. Some songs carried the dusty warmth of classic Americana. Others felt deeply personal and reflective.

Hello friends, neighbors, bots and enemies! Just posting to let you know that I'm still here and despite the impossibly grotesque s #$t show that continues to swirl around us constantly, and the device addiction that fuels it, time marches on and like everyone, I'm doing my best to march with it. Mostly that features meaningful time with Becky and Hollis, closing in on getting my handicap to single digits (currently 10.6) and playing small local shows that allow me to do exactly me.. and sleep in my own bed. I told a friend the other day that I feel retired and he asked "what do you feel retired from? because you're obviously not retired from working!" (I'm playing 10-13 shows every month).. I think I rambled off something about the music business, publicists and touring. If I come up with a better answer I'll let you all know but mostly I feel retired from the pressure that all artists put on themselves to keep climbing.. always another rung, 10k more miles to drive, more "content" to create, and a continued squeezing the life out of of anything that resembles why I fell in love with playing music. So the reason right now that I feel invincible like I'm 22 years old again?? because after 30 years of doing this, the only outcome I care about at this moment is "can I sit over there and play my music for a couple hours?".. End of goals ❤ :: Praise the lords, especially Apollo, and all the heavenly mothers that there are still wonderful places where I am able to do my thing. Hope to see ya out there in real life ✌❤🙏 photo by Doug Schwartz
